Whether you have a puppy that needs help house training, an elderly dog that needs to get out during the day, or a dog that needs some extra exercise, Downtown Dogwalker can help.
Each pet is different and each walk will be best fit to the dogs' energy, ability and needs. I walk only dogs from the same household together so that I can provide individual attention to your pets. I provide fresh water after walking and, if needed, during. I also pick up and dispose of any waste.
You will find your dog more manageable after some energy has been released! This is especially beneficial for younger, rambunctious dogs in busy families. I will also reinforce any commands you are teaching your dog during our walk. After a walk is the perfect time to work on training as well.

I am able to walk "hard to walk" dogs; although I may suggest different tools. I walk all dogs using a gentle, loving touch.I never use punishment or force. I do not use E- collars ("shock collars"), choke chains or prong ("pinch") collars. I have found positive training such as luring with treats and praise, and managing behavior to be effective and humane.
For dogs that pull, I prefer the "Gentle Leader" type head halter; a self correcting collar (no yanking, jerking or pain) that works for any dog. I have found it effective for large dogs as well as small dogs. I am happy to show clients how to use this tool to improve their own walks with their pets as well.
Dog Walking Rates:
Rates for half hour walks: $18.00 for one dog
Rates for one hour walks: $28.00 for one dog
Add $3.00 per pet for each household.
10% discount for senior citizens and new family member
(child under three months).
